Will London Bombings Postpone V for Vendetta?
V for Vendetta, the latest Wachowski Bros. movie, starring Natalie Portman, features the blowing up of the Parliament building in London. It was scheduled for release in the UK & USA in early November.I haven't heard anything, so I'm only speculating based on the fact that several movies with sensitive footage or themes were postponed after 9/11, like Collateral Damage.
Should they postpone it? That's really for Londoners to decide. I know after 9/11 I didn't want to see movies about people in burning buildings. But I didn't want them to scrub the Twin Towers out of Spiderman either.

It's a tough call. I hear ya on the Spiderman shot. I was actually upset they didn't put it in. I remember the shot because it was included in a teaser that was released before 9/11. It wasn't destruction, it was a helicopter caught in this huge spider web that was attached to each tower. I thought it was such an amazing image and I really felt we needed to see it but a spider web is a far cry from blowing up a government building.
