When people ask me if HD is really that much better than SD, I'm going to direct them to this site.
NEVERTHELESS: Some see the push for HD as a blatant power grab.

While there are distinct advantages to HD in certain filmmaking projects, for the amatuer videographer using HD can translate to bigger headaches. Mistakes in shooting are magnified in HD. A more important comparison is proving that there are clear advantages to using 3CCD cameras vs. 1CCD cameras. This shouldn't be a question for anyone wanting to make a full blown movie, but the tempation exists for people who want to do things on the cheap or cut in shots from two cameras where 1 is a single CDD cam and the other is a 3CCD.
