Soares on The Lake House
The Lake House or, as I call it, Speed 3: Timetravel Mailbox, has been splitting the critics. Ebert and Roeper both went thumbs up. But Andre Soares' take approximates what my friends who have seen it tell me:

My favorite review said watching it was like having cotton candy laced with Xanax stuffed down your throat... as if that was a bad thing.
