iTunes Rentals? Stay Tuned

Today's the day of the big Steve Jobs Keynote. Everyone is expecting the announcements to include deals with majors studios to allow movie rentals through the iTunes store. Engadget is liveblogging: Live from Macworld 2008: Steve Jobs keynote - Engadget

UPDATE: It seems all the big studios are in - a major coup. And they've agreed to a uniform pricing structure: $5.99 HD (only thru AppleTV), $4.99 new release, $3.99 library titles.

Engadget runs a test that gets into some of the limitations of the service. One thing they don't mention is that rental will only be available 30 after DVD release. So hardly a 'new' release then.
