This is a really impressive fan-made video. I thought it was stop-motion at first.

I used 3dsmax, Vray, and After Effects. I tried to use very little post work, so all the depth of field and motion blur were in the 3d camera. Though, I did render to exr files so I could tweak the exposure and get some subtle chromatic aberration effects in the extra bright areas. All the texture work is hand scanned or painted in photoshop, I think that helped it feel more cohesive.
